Long ago and far away could describe this shot. It was a 35mm. slide of the moon over the coast of Baffin Island in the Canadian Arctic, in what is now called Nunuvut. The thin white line is the ice pack in Hudson Strait. The landscape is probably about the same as the moon itself, barren rock, no trees and very sparse grass. I was using Kodachrome film with an Exakta Varex SLR, 50mm. F2 Biotar lens, and I imagine the exposure was around several seconds at F2. That’s my best guess, since this was taken in 1953! The slide was scanned with a CanoScan FS4000US at 4000 dpi.
