Sunrise Valley, Cape Breton Island by

Located about half-way around the Cabot Trail in Cape Breton Highlands National Park,Nova Scotia, Sunrise Valley faces eastward towards the rising sun and is aptly named. One of those magic places that I spend a long time just sitting and being absorbed by the peace and beauty of the valley.Taken with a Sony DSCF828, October 2005. I was born and raised on this island and try to return to it every year if possible. Each time I manage to get something new to capture.

In The Top 10 of OVERVIEW of SCENIC VALLEY’S ( TAKEN FROM A MOUNTAINSIDE) in the “All Parks” Group.

    What a view!

  • Thanks Bev and Stan. I think I goofed again, wrote you both a Thank You and forgot to click I first saw Sunrise Valley when I was about 12 years old, the Trail was unpaved and in winter the only travel was by coastal steamer or horse and sleigh. I still come back here every chance I get. The people who live there have found their own personal Eden.
