I love ships of all kinds, but especially sailing ships. This is the German barque “Gorch Fock” at the entrance to Halifax Harbour, Nova Scotia, Canada, during the Tall Ships Festival in July, 2007. Taken with a Sony DSCF828 camera. The ship is a training vessel for the German Navy and does extensive cruises worldwide.

Great shot George – I love sailing ships – do you know the history here!
Thanks Bev. I have several hundred photos of sailing ships and others, like ocean liners and such. I’m going to post some more as soon as I can. I know the history of this ship, I’ll send you a BM. It’s an interesting story but too long for here.
