Windblown Lady by George Cousins

A bright October day on Lawrencetown Beach, Nova Scotia,Canada The brisk Atlantic wind blows my partner along while I sit sheltered by a sand dune!
If you visit Nova Scotia and want to spend a day or just a hike (or surfing) at this beach, start at Dartmouth and drive east on # 7 highway until you get to Ross Road, turn right and follow the road to the end, turn left onto Highway 207 and follow it along the Atlantic coast until you reach the Beach. There’s another very nice one just adjacent, there are facilities and a canteen in the summer, and you’ll enjoy your day hike.

  • Wow! I am honoured..and thank you so much. I’ve only been in this Group for a short time, and to have a Feature is far more than I would have ever expected.

wow, George I love this. What I really like is the three levels of scenery, the sky, the ocean and the beach. Just beautiful, looks awfully windy though

  • Hi Vickie..glad you liked this one..before I moved to BC, I lived only about a mile from that spot, my house overlooked the beach and ocean. It’s about a mile long and has become a prime surfing beach in the last 20 years or so. It was quite windy, and chilly, but Jann loves running around beaches in her bare feet!! We were the only people there :)

Wonderful windy image, love the colour in her dress.

Love this capture George. She looks content being blown along though. Hope you guys are well :>)) Leslie

  • Hi Leslie, glad you liked it. If the wind had been off-shore I might have lost! We’ve both had our unhealthy moments this winter, not too serious but enough to slow down and not be very active on RB. If we ever get “SUMMER” we’d probably feel pretty good. Yesterday it got up to a high of 17C. Not the usual weather for June on Van. Isle. Hope it’s been a bit better over your way.
    Cheers, George
