"Castle in the Clouds" featured again!
It was the very first image I posted on RB, and it’s been the most viewed. I’m very proud that it’s been featured in AMERICAS ~ Rural, Urban, Wild, Free – Expressions of Artists. Thinking back to that day when I pulled off the road into a pile of snow and got out of the car to wait for the right moment which might have never happened. How often have we all done something similar? It’s what makes photography so fascinating, even when the weather does it’s best to be a bit unpleasant. Thank you so much, Sharon and Marjorie, you do me honor and I am grateful.

Congratulations for the third feature of the day, George. Fantastic !!!
I have no idea how you can find time to take photographs when you have to answer all these feature comments. lol.
George Cousins replied
Thanks Stan, but remember that most of my stuff was taken before I even knew about RB or most other photo sites. I’m waiting for the better weather so I can get up into the mountains and try for some new ones. But I never imagined getting 3 features in one day, I’m rather stunned :)

George, your photo and the story of your effort to get it should be an inspiration to anyone who takes photos. It’s a fantastic image and deserves the attention. It just goes to show what happens when the right things come together, and your lucky enough to be there with a camera.

Chuck, thank you so much for your comments. Coming from you especially, I consider them to be an honour and I can only express my appreciation.

George, this is a magnificent image and deserves all the recognition available. I loved it when I first saw it and it seems even more beautiful this time up. Congratulations!!

Thank you so much Bev. It’s so nice to hear that you and others enjoy some of my work. I guess all the years I took photos I never really gave much thought to trying to show them, they were just for the joy of going out and getting them in the first place.

Stunning photograph and you’re right, great photography is all about patience and having the eye, this is such an amazing view that the temptation to just turn up and snap away must be immense…to wait it out and watch for that special light takes a true professional. Congrats on the feature, I’m adding you to my watchlist too.

Hi Rob, your comments are very much appreciated, and thank you for adding me to your watchlist. I’m doing the same because I just had a quick look at your work and it’s absolutely beautiful, so I want to go back and spend much more time there. I’m originally from Cape Breton Island, which is largely Scottish ancestry and people tell me is very much like Scotland. Thanks again.
