Acclaimed as one of the world’s most scenic drives, the Cabot Trail winds though the northern highlands of Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada. From sea-level on the shores of the Atlantic and the Gulf of St. Lawrence, to breath-taking switch-backs over steep mountains, the Trail encloses Cape Breton Highlands National Park. Along the way you’ll encounter small towns and villages dating back to the 1700’s and even earlier. The Trail was named for John Cabot of Bristol, who landed either here or Newfoundland in 1497.
