Froth and Fangs

This one required a good strong rope wrapped around a rock and me, and I made sure it was in a secluded area where more sane people wouldn’t be tempted to do the same! I’d been watching the Atlantic swells beating against the fangs of granite rock at Peggy’s Cove, Nova Scotia, one day in September 2006, and the temptation to get a good close-up was just too much. There was no really good vantage point for a telephoto so the jury-rig was the only answer. Aren’t we supposed to get more sense as we get older? Or doesn’t that apply to photographers..!
