That’s funny, now.
We had a lot more snow in this neck of the woods back then too.
George Cousins replied
Yep, this used to be a common thing back then. But last weekend in the Maritimes was a bit of old times..lol Did you see the coverage?
Bev Woodman
Wow that’s a lot of snow. Great capture George.
George Cousins replied
Thanks Bev. We don’t get as much snow now, climate change is a definite thing.
blondiegirl
OMG! that is incredible!
George Cousins replied
After a few years of this, I bought a snowplow..:)

This made me laugh! Reminded me of Thanksgiving and Christmas last year in Hurley, Wisconsin. They get lake effect snow from Lake Superior. Their record is 300 inches for the season. Julie
George Cousins replied
Hi Julie, I posted it more or less for the laugh value, so glad it worked! I’ve been through Wisconsin in the winter and remember the snow quite well :)
Mike Oxley
Great shot, George. Reminds me of the one we had back in 1971. Cornwall was closed.
George Cousins replied
Hi Mike, I’m in Calgary at the moment. We just did a quick tour of Jasper and Banff. Jann filled a 2 gb card the first day..lol!
That snowfall was not unusual back then. In fact, the last few years on the coast have been much the same, after quite a few years when it was much less. Climate change happens fast sometimes!
