The Great Land
As it was when I took this picture, the view brings me a tear of emotion. To even try to comprehend the vastness of the prairie, to feel the steady winds, realize that the horizon goes on for thousands of miles, yet has so many aspects and hidden wonders to explore. The shot was taken one afternoon at the top of the hill at the Head-Smashed-In-Buffalo-Jump Interpretative Centre in southern Alberta.
I know it’s a strange name, but if you ever have the chance, visit it..you won’t be sorry.I’ll post some other shots eventually. Sony DSCF828, August 2007.
