A World of Madness

Living in a world of madness
Seeing despair and sadness
The young acting in badness
With no hope of happiness.

Thieving, scheming to survive,
The drugs make people alive
Nothing is attainable but strife
In the struggle for life

Money to be made
As people ply a trade
Bewilderment in this maze
Of a bygone age

Gangs all the rage
In this new style age
Conniving exploiting the welfare
In the senselessness of warfare

Neglect is all you see
As gangs roam free
Robbing, beating and exploiting we
As system strands idly by thee

A system gone wrong
In this happy song
Trapped amongst the throng
Where we don’t belong

Is like, really cheap
As grown men weep
Being confined so deep
Escaping through sleep
