This image was the feature image for a showcase at the Dallas Public Library in downtown Dallas. I wanted to make an image without people in the shot but that was not always possible so I made the people somewhat disappear.

Art and picture making with a camera are fundamentally the same, requiring such essential qualities as good taste, beauty of line, and perfect juxtaposition of tone, together with atmosphere that stirs the emotion. With vision and imagination in the mind of the operator, the most exquisite results can be obtained with detail that no other medium can record with such precision.”

LOVE that one couple stood still long enough for you, while everyone else is a busy blur!!!
Fabulous capture, George, worthy title piece for the showing! :-)))

  • I hate crowds so I had to prepare myself for the fact that most of my shots would have people in them. I shot a lot at dusk or night time to avoid as much of that as possible.

Haha, George, you and my fella would get along famously – he hated the crowds as well!
Whereas, the crowds didn’t bother me so much because of our different interests in image ‘topic’ – sneaky candid heaven for me :-))
