Whilst I was taking photos of this obliging seal pup. I suddendly heard a warning bark from its mother then became aware of her moving quickly not towards me but a family of four who had walked up to my left to take their own photos. Not only did this upset me but certainly upset the pup’s mother.
There are warnings all around to be careful as the seals can move vey quickly and Bite! I can now vouch for how acurate the warnings are about their speed luckily I can’t verify if they bite.
Love the light here – feels like a shaft of sun on a cold winter’s day – something about the play between the golden shades on the seals and the blues tones in the sea behind. Hmmm – perhaps it is time you thought about making a documentary book – these images are special.

Great shot George, I sure wouldm’t want to get bitten by one of these.
nice framing with that 1000 lens george.
Thanks John, but 200mm lens please – I could smell fish on her breath!

great image George, strikingly sharp and a little bit of humor
