New bridge - nothing to cross
After the old bridge collapsed a new one emerged in its place but, as if to mourn the passing of the old, the rains have stopped coming, the run-off is no more and the creek has not flowed since the completion of the new. The bridge, in need of water [just like us] to validate its existence wonders [just like us] when the mourning period will pass.
