Winnipeg Manitoba Canada
Esplanade Riel over the Red River just north of the Fork where the Red River and Assiniboine River meet and flow north under this bridge.

In the background is downtown Winnipeg.

I shot this at f22 and on a tripod. I used iso 200 and a 2-3 sec exposure. I figured the longer the shutter was open the smoother the water would be.

I shot this with my d300 with a 24mm f2.8 prime.

Wow – that’s a stunner. Brilliant composition; beautifully photographed.

  • Thanks, it was one of those days after the sunset waiting for colours of dusk to emerge.

Once they came out I found that my auto white balance wasn’t showing the rose colour of the sky. (I guess that’s why I like photography so much I’m always learning :)
