August 2006 I drove from Halifax to Winnipeg the drive was 56 hours long.
The Trans Canada Highway isn’t always the best place to pull over, especially when people might be tired, however I couldn’t resist capturing a few shots.
Northern Ontario is very sparsely populated, between Sault Ste. Marie and Winnipeg (14 hours of driving) I doubt there is 500,000 people. So you don’t want to accidentally get hit by car while shooting at dawn on a highway.
travel the world and you will see the same brilliant sky the same awesome tree feel the same wind and the sun’s same warmth why cant we know the same peace
we all laugh the same and cry the same a baby’s gurgle could be from any place must we be different with anger and pride we are all the same human race
and one day we’ll learn just how simmilar we are when the sky looses it’s blue when the trees are all gone and the dust settles in and we fade to the same dust too
/ Your image struck me in it’s simplicity. It could be anywhere on this planet! How precious our similarities are! Thank you for stopping to snap some pix :O) Chookas! X♥X
When you least expect it you find an amazing shot like this. Some of my best shots were taken on the way to work….I was late for work but it was worth it….
True, it’s also important to be out and looking whenever you are out instead of just out. I try to have my camera with me most of the time, and then force myself to stop whatever I’m doing, to try to capture what I think could be a good photograph.

nicely poem,
I guess that’s why I love photography. You go by so many “exotic” spots in the everyday life. It’s important to stop and savor.
Amazing capture
superb colours in a lovely capture! well seen! tha mistiness just adds a special quality too .. ;))
Well worth the stop ….wonderful sky!!!
I was driving away from the sunrise, but I could see the mist and had to try to get a few shots :)

It’s far to easy to keep driving.
