This 1870’s era carving is on the Bells Line of Road in the Blue Mountains west of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia and is unnoticed by most who pass by. The uneven lettering and the colourful, rough texture caught my eye. I do not know any further details about Shearwood or the Cave Hotel.
