Tristesse by

Portrait of Alison using natural light. I wanted her to be barely emerging from the surrounding darkness.

The model is Alison who also features in the Tarot Reader and Ianus Semitas. Alison is brilliant to work with because she can act and evoke almost any emotional state on request – quite scary watching he go from infectious joy to grief in the space of a few heartbeats.

Oh my – I love this so much Geoff !! How soft and mysterious is this. Lee’s treatment works a treat too!! Love the fact that it’s barely there and dark. She has a beautiful face too, and the perfect expression. There is some serious competition here in the portrait department!!

  • Ah you sweet thang Douzy – thank you

lovely portrait I like how she fades into the back ground.

  • Thanks Elizabeth – that’s the effect I wanted.
