A tranquil sunrise at Wattamolla, Royal National Park just south of Sydney. People have asked me how I got the radiant effect from the sun. Simple – just pointed the camera at it lol. The flare comes from the sun’s’ rays hitting the lens at nearly 90 degrees and then the blades of the aperture diaphragm inside the camera splitting it up. Least that’s what I’ve been told so if anyone has a better explanation I’d love to hear it.
