Long exposure taken looking north to Sydney from Bundeena Cliffs Royal National Park under a full moon. It was almost dead calm at sea level but the clouds above were rocketing past. The little white streaks in the sky are small startrails.

the distant city lights look a treat in the image – almost looks like a firefront. nice work Geoff :)
Thanks Tony – I liked the way it contrasted with the moonlit sea

Nice job – how long did it take to work out the 59s exposure? :)
Thanks Laurence – not long at all. The most time consuming part of this image was removing the moon itself which was over-exposed and detracted from the rest of the image.

The motion effect is quite extraordinary Geoff!! Looks all the more surreal as the water underneath looks so still!! I got tips on how to produce massive prints even with a 10MP camera, you surely will need them as all your photos deserve life-like scale!
Thanks Douzy love to hear your tips but life-like scale for this image would be pretty big lol.

Beautiful time exposure shot.
This exposure certainly gives the feeling of movement of the clouds. Well done
Perfection!
