First landscape for a while. I happened to glance out the window at home and saw this spectacular double rainbow arching across the sky.
So I grabbed the gear and dashed out to the cliffs but it was mostly gone by the time I got there and set up. But that is the way of it with rainbows – particularly ephemeral! I’ve never been able to catch a rainbow and its ghost before though so was pleased to get even the tail end of it.
I wonder if two rainbows means two pots of gold. Hmm, where’s Varinia (Globalphotos) when you need her – this would be one for a good scuba diver.

Wow what a view from your window Geoff, I think that it in itself is a great treasure…wonderful picture!!
Lol – I wish! I live 15 mins away from these cliffs but could see the rainbow and knew it would look great from this perspective. Thanks Gail

You know that double rainbow went right up the coast. I’ve seen its photo at Port and Nambucca heads!! very beautiful and unique seascape Geoff.
A well-travelled rainbow indeed. Thanks David.

Fabulous capture…..rainbows are fleeting – and as you said, hard to capture. I think a double one surely means double-luck tho’!!
-hope so – thanks Wendi.
