Part of the collaborative shoot I did with Sonia and Rose. Shot at the same time as The Swan Maiden in a beautiful little rainforest section of Royal National Park just south of Sydney. All natural light.
Model: Sonia Art Direction: Rose Photography & Post-processing: Geoff
Looks like an apparition from arthurian legend. Incredible post processing Geoff, luminous with great seperation from the background.
(For me the white patch in the corner is a little confusing (what is it) and unnecessary, just trying to be constructive I hope that’s cool).
Thanks for your comment Travis – I hummed and hahhed about whether to burn it out or leave it. Its the reflection of the sky in the water. In the end I decided to leave it as I thought it accentuated the feel of the water but maybe I decided wrong – I’m certainly not committed to keeping it so if people think it detracts I’ll burn it out.
Great pic geoff awesome work, now all it needs is led zepplin link to stairway to heaven, or lady of the lake by Rainbow, anyway great…………………………………..Martin
hehe – thanks Martin – and you’re just the man to create the scene!!
The dress floating on the surface of the water looks excellent! The transluscent quality of the processing really enhances this image! Nice work, Geoff!
Thanks heaps – yeah that floating dress was a real bonus – damn but I love that dress!
A romantic image of, as Travis and Juilee have noted, a slight Arthurian feel to it. All that’s missing is an arm in the water holding a massive sword. I have to agree with Travis on the white ‘cloud’ in the bottom corner. It does tend to draw the eye away from the central figure.
Thanks my friend for your considered feedback – looks like the reflection’s days are numbered – I’ll get onto it.

looks kind of more lady in the lake to me… very authurian somehow or wordsworth even….. lovely work whatever ….
Thanks Juilee – was trying for that pre-raphaelite look that is associated with both those.
