Dusk is the Veil
I shot this deep into a winter dusk looking south to Wollongong from the Curracurrang in Royal NP. I love that moment when the eye can only see night but the camera on long exposure picks up the residual colours of sunset and twilight..
Another from the archives. It’s so much fun going over shots you took a couple of years ago and have forgotten. So many magic memories come alive.

It is always wonderous to see what was actually there that the eye couldn’t pick up Geoff. The clouds look like a slow meteor trundling through the sky at a slow pace towards the light, bending as though its being steered under the watchful eye of the dotted pin prick like stars.
Geoff Coleman... replied
Damn but your are the king of comment givers Stuart – always so thoughtful and considered. Thanks heaps for this one.

This is just fantastic! A bit deja vu for me… I was working on a painting along these lines while I was away!! Those clouds actually have a painterly feel to them too… I think nature and your camera have done much better than I though… : )
