Beatiful shot. Strong focal point, good shutterspeed. Well balanced between shadow and burn out. Maybe use burn tool in e.g. photoshop to bring out some details in the rocks?

Wow! I went to the ocean hoping to get some good surf, and I was sorely disappointed. I don’t live near the ocean, so I appreciate it when people share scenes like this.

An incredible shot- it looks like the wave is rising out of the water to ATTACK the rock! And the dark sky in the background, the black rock, and the dark blue water make the leviathan look even more aggressive

That tricky play of the autofocus and manual…sometimes our senses get so exhilarating that we do not pay attention at first hand.
But frustration is good for makes us learn…though bitterly.
And coming over it is much better…
for our ideals are notrealistic.. and this rage of the sea is splendid….spontaneous…..brutal.I had not noticed the autofocus problem…..so it was not a problem after all.
