The blur of the clouds is their movement over the 30 second exposure – more clouds start sweeping in as the storm gathers greater momentum.

    Geoff this is outstanding the combination of the various colors of the sky and what I think makes the shot is the stars in the sky, you should be very proud of yourself to capture and record such a great image.

    It’s almost War Of The Worlds like with the clouds battling for dominance and supremecy in the skies. The firey red billowing cloud seems to be set on a collision course with the storm on the horizon as the stars peek over the top gazing down. I really love the water movement in the bottom right as the waves move along too.
