The Night of Gold and Silver
Part of the Sea Storm series shot off Bundeena Cliffs Royal National Park just south of Sydney.
The blur of the clouds is their movement over the 30 second exposure – more clouds start sweeping in as the storm gathers greater momentum.
This shot fits between this one

and this one

Geoff this is outstanding the combination of the various colors of the sky and what I think makes the shot is the stars in the sky, you should be very proud of yourself to capture and record such a great image.

Thanks for the lovely comment Casey – I do love those stars I have to admit.

It’s almost War Of The Worlds like with the clouds battling for dominance and supremecy in the skies. The firey red billowing cloud seems to be set on a collision course with the storm on the horizon as the stars peek over the top gazing down. I really love the water movement in the bottom right as the waves move along too.
Geoff Coleman... replied
Thanks Stuart for really looking at this pic – it’s one of my favourites for all the beautifully described reasons you’ve articulated. Very much appreciated these extended comments of yours my friend.
