Reculver Towers through the mist by

Stuart Chapman,Bob Culshaw and myself took a trip to Reculver (Kent,U.K.) on a dark, misty and cold evening (08/02/2011). This shot is the result of Stuart showing us this viewpoint. It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening thanks to the company of two fellow Redbubblers!

It was a pleasure to finally meet you Geoff. I only tried one from this angle and soon tried others so glad you percervied from here and got this. That’s great control over the moon and I like how the sky bands from blue to red either side of the towers. Nice lighting on the wateras well the painting of light is just right.

  • Thanks Stuart. Yes, it was good to meet at last! Without you showing us this spot, I could not have taken this.Have you seen Bob’s shot?It is from the same spot more or less but he has given it a different treatment.

Excellent Geoff – great to meet you last night. We should do these mini-meets more often. It’s a shame you have chosen this image to put up – mine is ready for uploading in 5 mins! Same angle – slightly different effect..! Best regards, hope to meet up again soon.

  • Thanks Bob. I have just looked at your’s and it is very similar isn’t it! Sorry that I got in first. It was good meeting you and Stuart at last.

You’ve really pulled something out of the hat here, Geoff! Love the light behind the towers through the mist. What a great backdrop to the falling water!

  • Thanks Mel, much appreciated :-)
