This is one of two gas stations we have here in Crowder Oklahoma…It has been around since the early 40’s and has been run by 3 generations of the same family…

One of the very few buildings left standing after the 1949 tornado that destroyed Crowder and ultimately led to the demise of our beloved little town that was once a prospering little city with banks, a drug store, a railroad stop, 2 restaurants and several other businesses.

Now with only 331 residents and 21 miles from the nearest walmart…we enjoy the peace and quiet of our little town :)
