ah some new work genevieve i just love the way you capture eyes the figure looks vividly perplexed
I really have been appreciating your support very much. I feel like I get stuck on the eyes … so maybe the time (and sometimes frustration!) I spend on them actually pays off. Your considered comments really do help me think about my work and stay with me when painting other things …
This is really wonderful Gen, so atmospheric, and the fact you had the flu when you did this? I am astonished! When I had the flu, I shut down for 3 weeks!!
Thanks so much Alexandra … atmosphere is something I enjoy trying to feel/create/represent … i’ve felt like i’ve had a number of moments where the flu has eased off … a radox bath with codral, chocolate and coffee gave me a much needed boost that helped me focus on this one : ) I did have plans to paint more but the flu did get the better of me.
i’ve just seen thumbnails but already i am loving your work… i see such a strong emotional connection between you and your work…… this one drew me in immediately..something about this won’t let me go… like you snuck in and painted from my life when i wasn’t looking…. i’m so glad you commented on my work and that i found yours as a result…… i promise not to gush over each one…but know that i will be enjoying them all……… peace and light……..b
Thank you for your sensational comment! Really happy you’re liking my work. Yes I think there is a strong emotional connection between me and my art, I’ve never thought about it like that, but yes, it’s true.
