it mainly is paint but I photographed it with a really bad old non digital camera ages ago, got heaps of flash in the centre then sold the painting. I was looking through my old photos and since I no longer have the original could not re photograph it with my good camera. So I had to fill in the centre way over exposed bit from flash with my extremely old version of photoshop and the clone tool. Not easy as I have so little RAM on my computer everything keeps freezing. Worth it though! Now I have my painting back in its almost original state. THankyou for your lovely comment.

Reminds me of one of my favourite paintings by Pinkham Ryder, called ‘Constance’.

Something about this painting really touches me – traveling alone in a small boat, on rough waters. A bit like life, really.

Another lovely work Gen. Re the photographing, why not go take a new one in daylight, somewhere light but in the shade and manually turn the flash off. Seriously, this work needs to have the best photo possible representing it because it’s a lovely piece of art. (Hope you take all that the right way) : )
