tomber doucement
Acrylic and mixed media painting on canvas.80cmx80cm.
I have been working on and off this one for the last 2 years. It was originally going to be part of a tryptich of the Blue Mountains west of Sydney but I like it on it’s own. It is meant to be an idea of rain falling softly in the mountains towards dusk or dawn. The newsprint provides texture but is also meant to indicate our impact on the environment. It is a bit of a foray into abstraction for me.
tomber doucement belongs to the following groups:
Mixed Media and Out of the Blue (75%+ Blue) Available for sale asGreeting Cards, Matted Prints, Laminated Prints, Mounted Prints, Canvas Prints and Framed Prints

IMAGINATIVE USE OF TYPE AND ABSTRACT COLOR…

I like how you have combined blue tones from bright to dark. The texture from soft to rough suits very well. Both gives it a depth which is more, than a superficial effect. Agree with you it has a quality of its own.
