Wrath
My postmodern appropriation of a traditional Japanese print. Australianized by the addition of the mambo style kimono and Margaret Preston style border and signature, with a modern twist of heart tattoo and my approximation of Kanji which I hope represents the word “Wrath”. “Wrath is an ugly emotion which can destroy the beautiful.
ink and watercolour painting in Japanese style.
I added this small painting to the small works exhibition showing in Melbourne at the Brunswick Street Gallery.
Wrath belongs to the following groups:
1 on 1: The Fine Art of Portraiture, Japanfluence, Mixed Media and Watercolour PaintingsAvailable for sale as Cards, Matted Prints, Laminated Prints, Mounted Prints, Canvas Prints and Framed Prints
