Journey Home

How long is this journey?
Can my strength last?
I have traveled far
And am weary

Signs of change are
In the distance
Uncertainty looms near
Hope grows eternal

Strength comes from you Lord
Your Grace is sufficient
To sustain me
Be still and know

Be still and know that I am Jehovah.

lol I realize that some people hake exception to that and would prefer ‘God’ at the end of the sentence. I am not here to argue, just to agree. I like the end of your poem the best, because that concept is one of the most overlooked aspects of religion and faith, i think.

Being still and knowing such things is about the hardest task there is, and what the world is geared to prevent you from, with the ringing phones, television, etc.

The journey is life-long, but, a man who writes as you do knows what to do when weary. The strength can be yours, if you ask for more to be lent to you.

This is a very nice poem.
