I’m not much for written stuff, but I thought I’d take a shot at this one. Your brutal comments are welcomed..:-)… nice ones would be good too..:-) ..Here goes…..
“Love has slipped through your fingers,
On your journey, where is love,
When will you find me,
On these banks I stand,
A vista near and wide,
Sky so high, water so deep,
Yet it eludes me, this love”.
“Where is love, where does it linger,
Will I find it some day,
Or has hope been lost to time,
Precious memories are all that’s left,
Of carefree times when youth was might,
Thoughts like this did not come in,
Time was much in those days of when”.
“But now the years have drifted by,
And yet hope still lingers near,
That one day soon, joy will be,
In the love, these two have found,
Until then, I dream, where is love,
Darling where are you,
Where are you, love”.

For a first try, that was awesome!!! Most people add a poem by someone else (which is okay). Beautiful, George!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well George, I loved it.. (Love comes in many ways I guess) I know as we get older and love seems to elude us we all ask this. But I think if you reach for love it will eventually come your way, it may not stay forever, but that’s ok for love will come again if you let it in.
Good Job, I want to send this forward to someone I’ve been meaning to ask this question of!
Thanks for sharing it.

Having no talent for poetry whatsoever, I always admire those who are blessed to be able to write like this. Nice work!
