Took this in my front yard this morning. The desert has a beauty all its own. Even in suburbia they are abundant in folk’s yards in Arizona. They flowers only last one day. Mine usually come in abundance. So I expect to see many more in the next few days. They open at night and close up once the sun gets too hot. The bees love them which I was surprised there were no bees this morning.
Taken with my Canon 50d and 17-85 zoom lens. I processed 3 duplicate images in Photomatix HDR software and added an overlay texture for effect.
