Goodbye

I

Hello to you
The day is full
With wonder now we meet
You plan your tricks
And I expect
You’re myriad of fetes
That laugh at me
In truth complete
In kindest criticism
You’re smile petite
On pastel cheeks
A glimpse to heavens vision.

II

Dim moon glowing
On black cloud bellies
Brings the nights sinister frown
Mechanical movements
Slowly seize
The sky demands renown.
As the ground in patience endures
Attacks of fire and rain
Nocturnal scenes set their ghostly lures
To entice the sleepy sane.

III

I saw her dead
I saw her die
Her eyes
Of lost embrace
As they turned and left me
My tears won’t leave
That glow I felt
When you were near
I remember…..yes
Your glow is not mine anymore
Was my glow with her?

IV

Goodbye to you
The daylight grim
My wonder – hope
Our spirits part.

Goodbye
