I have not been around much lately, just taking quick peeks sometimes at the wonderful new works. As for my own, work I just delete most of it because it looks like more of the same.
Last Tuesday I went to the Pryor Mountains for horse pictures. As we walked in the door at home we got a phone call. My 4 year old grandson Kyle had just been killed.
My daughter had just gotten off work, picked Kyle up at daycare, and was a block from home when she made a left turn in front of a motorcycle, the crotch rocket type. She didn’t realize how fast it was coming until too late.
The entire side of the car is caved in as if hit by a truck. Kyle was always strapped in his child seat in the back seat. He died instantly of massive head injuries.
The police investigation has not yet been released, but rumors say the cycle had been doing wheelies, weaving in and out of traffic, had just run a red light, and was going about 70 in a 35 zone when it smashed into my girl’s car.
The funeral is today.
Please, please, when you love someone, grab them and hug them now, today. You never know for sure that you will have another chance.

Gary:
I am so very sorry for your loss. I can’t even imagine.

Oh God Gary, I am so sorry. This is truly a horrible tragedy to you and your family. There is nothing worse than the loss of a child. I know from experience 23 years ago. You and your family take the time you need to deal with this, and remember. whatever you do is OK. Everyone deals with things differently.
My prayers are with you my friend.
Gary
