LOL great title! pretty steep face for a sheep! i’m more used to seeing goats on terrain like this. though there was that one time when i was elk hunting that i stumbled upon a herd of sheep on a pretty steep, shaley face. hmm. deep thoughts about sheep. ; )

  • Gary Beeler replied

Thanks Ann. One time I watched some butting heads on a steep hill side ( where I didn’t dare even try to stand ) above Yellowstone Canyon. They really are a remarkable aniimal.

  • Gary Beeler replied

Thank you Katagram. Does Katagram stand for Kate? Kat? Gram?
They do get into funny places; maybe they just like the elbow room.

Gary, you are the champ of the wilderness shots; I love the authenticity of each one, the “call of the wild” trademark you’ve come to earn. What a pure beautiful world you share with us! Thank you so much! This is another amazing addition to a rich and varied portfolio.

Dynamite capture – happy to see that sheep seem to be making a comeback on the cliffs near Mammoth where I used to get opportunities similar to this. Great shot!

  • Gary Beeler replied

Thanks Ken. These sheep were on the cliff about a mile upstream from Yellowstone Institute. I hear a mountain lion has been spotted a few times recently around the Mammoth cliffs.
