Moose Baby
More of the baby moose the hung out in the back yard on June 1st. She was supposed to stay hidden and quiet, but would get up and wander within a 10 foot radius and bawl a lot, lonly for her mom. Mom was around until about 8am, then left and came back after dark. There are lions and coyotes in the foothills; maybe mom thinks the baby is safer neared humans where there is less predator smell.

Thanks for the kind comments. I have about decided to stay home to get shots; yesterday, after a 200 mile round trip to YNP with no shots, I got home to find a whitetail doe upset at her baby for not following her, but the baby was being chased by a wild turkey that must have a nest nearby. No great shots of all that either, but great fun to watch with no gas costs.
