With such a flat landscape and few trees to soak up the water the Shire of Quairading has many floodways to contend with, as do drivers trying to get from one place to another in the wet season.

This picture was taken after an hour of rain had fell. Had I waited another half hour or so the road would have been flooded for sure and I would have been stranded in the middle of nowhere.
