Mt Murchison from Lake Rosebery, at Tullah, WILD west coast of Tasmaniaby gaylene
I love this mountain – it’s changing moods are so endearing. The west coast of Tasmania is so diverse in landscape – mountains, rainforests, mining, towns, lakes, FISHING – world class, a photographer’s dream! Pristine landscapes, with a vast history of mining and exploration, and of course the National Parks. The weather in winter here is cool and mild – can be freezing too, with snow and ice – but I love kayaking on the lake at Tullah in winter, especially early morning, when the wind is down and the lake is like glass….magic! Awe-inspiring.
