Philosopher Falls, Waratah, Tasmania Australia

.
. view larger – worth it.
I took this photo a couple years ago but the falls were so impressive, I cropped the image to highlight the drop, and put it back on redbubble for viewing.

    Very nice :)

Thanks Martin – it was worth the long walk and climb down to the Falls and the slow hard trudge back up the steep hill to the car.

Wow,wonderful angle you took on this, great perspecctive up through the valley just beautiful

It’s a magical place – HAVE to get there again soon with a group of walkers – some of the area is very steep and treacherous so it is necessary for a group walk…but that is half the fun of the outing too.

WOW!!!! One of the best Waterfall images on Redbubble. The perspective works wonderfully on this image. Vertical Landscapes are hard to get right and this one does. The colour balance is superb.

Thank you VERY much Andrew – I was very pleased with this photo – it was a lot of hard work climbing the last bit of the trek down the steep edge to the Falls – then struggle UP again….but I loved it. Not many people having noticed this pic though – or at least they have not been impressed with it. Anway – it is on my to-do list, to get there again. So many fungi on the track too – in the beautiful Tarkine wilderness of Tasmania.

Did you notice the man down at the left of the screen too – for perpective I included him.

Nice shot the person add scale, otherwise we might never know how big these falls are.

  • gaylene replied

Thanks – I really wanted to include my friend in the pic as he does add scale to the falls. There was a group of about 6 of us intrepid walkers, scrambling up through the muddy hillside to reach the top for a well-earnt rest. But what fun!
