Like most mad keen photographers every where we look we are looking for something to capture. I was looking for a flower to photograph and I walked past this about 6 times. I saw it but thought that it was falling apart and would not be worth the effort.

I was looking for a flower in full bloom so I completely ignored it for a couple of days. One night I was browsing around RB and I saw a brilliant photo taken of a wilted flower. I was amazed at the work and the very idea of taking a photo like this.

I had walked past this rose so many times, I saw it but I never really Looked at it. The very next day I went out and spent some time with this tired old lady. Gone was the normal splendor of a rose but what remained was still beautiful.

I can’t remember where I saw the the photo that inspired me to take this but I want to thank you for making me look closer at what is around me. Everything in its own way is a thing of beauty and we just have to look for it.

This was taken with a Canon EOS 50D with a standard 18-55mm zoom lens with a 10x macro filter attached.
