Organised Chaos
This is an example of one of the very first varieties of the rose. It’s been around for hundreds of years and it is still as popular as it was back then.
The botanical name for it is “Rosa Gallica Versicolor” but is also known as the Rosa Mundi. A more common name given to is “Strawberries & Cream”.
In this shot I tried to capture the “Organised Chaos” that is in the very center of this rose. The petals seem to be all crumpled together but a closer inspection reveals that nature does have a plan. It’s not chaotic at all. There is a place for everything and everything is in its place
Taken with a Canon EOS 350D using a Tamron 28-80mm macro lens.
