Depression
This was taken in Bilbao, Spain 2 years ago, i recent;y went back to it to have a tinker in photoshop and see what i can do with it. I’m really pleased with the results.

Thank you very much, i didn’t really edit too much in photoshop, I tweeked the sky as it was very dull and flat and added a touch more contrast to the buildings.

Very nice, Gavin. Deemphasizing the sky has made it more intimate and puts the focus squarely on the structures, which you’ve captured and processed so beautifully. I would say this is definitely a blue collar place, full of longshoremen and sailors on leave and fishermen and meat cutters and such, and yet there is no evidence of human activity. So for me, the title works as a statement on depressions as both a state of mind and as an economic malady. Very impressive work!

Thanks for such an informative/descriptive comment, the market was running in the buildings out of shot on the left side of the picture and was bustling with people, it was a cold wet day in february so I assume that the market was more tightly packed than usual being all undercover.
