I decided to get up early today to check if sunrise was going to be photographicable, (if thats a word) after seeing Garths wondrous shot yesty. It was a bit gloomy for me, but with the trusty Nikon D80 with the Nikkor 18-55mm lens on, and with the NDX400 attached, I achieved quite a lot of shots like this. This one being one of the better ones. Dee Why point, just south of the pool.
This is lovely Gavin, looks like you’ve found a good spot. I can’t wait for the first big east coast gale of the season to scour some of the sand from the beaches and expose a few more rocks up on the peninsula. Love the black glass effect :-)
Thanks Matt. I want to get back up to Avalon to get the rocks there again, but with the 4oo filter this time. This shot below was my last visit there.
