2011 end of year card - who's paying for the presents? by

My 2011 Christmas card depicts the world financial crisis. The International Monetary Fund represented by Managing Director, Christine Lagarde hands out money to needy European countries, Greece’s Lucas Papademos sits on her lap while Italy’s Mario Monti waits in line. Enda Kenny from Ireland has recieved his gift and Mariano Rajoy wants to exchange debt. France’s Nicolas Sarkozy and Germany’s Angela Merkel oversee the gifts and David Cameron from Great Britain works up a lather. China’s Wen Jiabao happily grows his economy but Barack Obama struggles to find a few coins. Of course our own Julia Gillard and Treasurer of the Year, Wayne Swan look happy, satisfied with the economy……and Barack. In the background are ex Italian President Silvio Berlusconi and countries emerging from the ‘Arab Spring’.
