Gary Rea began doing photography in 1972, while a photo lab technician in the U.S. Air Force, at Vandenberg Air Force Base, California.
Over the years, Gary has done landscapes, cityscapes, still lifes and special effects photography, but his favorite has always been night photography, which he’s done since 1972, first in the 35mm film format, then later in the digital medium.
Currently, he is doing digital night photography in the area of cityscapes, with experiments in light painting, as well, and is interested in pursuing product photography assignments, using the same low-light and light painting techniques.
