Quite right. It’s a fly. And I hereby challenge any and all hydrangea photographers to capture a fly on a bloom. Bees are easy. Flies are not! So there! Next time a Red Bubble group issues a challenge to capture a fly on a hydrangea, what’s the bet I’ll be the only entrant? Anyway, there I was in Averil’s yard (my next door neighbor) checking out her hyde-a-rangers (I don’t have the heart to correct her) and there it was. A fly! I was gonna call the pic Averil’s Bloomers but changed my mind. Taree Oz. Fuji A170 compact.

Yes, William. Any bug that has a spray named after it is in big trouble. Funny thing is, there are 7 billion of us madly spraying our cans of Mortein and it hasn’t even made a dent in the fly population!

Yeah, I figured you’d go for bloomers. Hehe. As to the van, it’s gone to Victoria and a farmer who’s pretty handy with fixing things. In other words I sold it because it was gonna cost me too much to bring it up to scratch. Meantime, I bought an XG Ford Falcon ute The idea is to get a slide-on camper one of these days.
Sounds good the slide on camper Gary. I haven`t been away apart from my usual Friday respite break when I usualy go walking up the Blue Mountains. Just that my brother has been staying a while.
