Saab 340 Turbo II by

A REX airlines Saab taxiing just outside the terminal at Taree Airport NSW Oz. Fuji A170 compact. I rather like the way the light from the rising sun is coming from the left which accentuates the shape of the plane’s nose. The props are still turning as the plane positions itself for passenger disembarkation.

About Gary Kelly

I’m a hobby photographer. In fact, I’m not sure Red Bubble should refer to me as an “artist”. But I do like to take photos that are above average, and certainly appreciate learning from my fellow Bubbleonian’s efforts as well as their comments. I use a second hand Sony Cybershot F717 and a Fuji Finepix S7000… oldies but goodies. Photography allows me to keep souveniers of my experiences. Today’s deeds become tomorrow’s memories.

Terrific capture Gary! Where are we flying to. I must get packed!

  • Sorry, Margaret… anything more than 12 inches off the ground is too high for me! I was at the airport to meet a passenger.

Nice one Gary and you’re right about the sunlight hitting the nose. It looks great.

  • Thanks for the fav, William. The last time I took a pic of a Rex Saab you said you’d love to fly in one. I flew in one from Adelaide to Port Lincoln and was pretty impressed. But some people say they’re a bit bumpy. Just order a few more drinks, I say.

Nice work Gary, you realy nailed this shot. For a while I thought it was yours. Been missing in action for a few days thats why I`m a bit late.

  • Missing in action huh? I guess that means you’ve been out boiling the billy and taking a few pics.
