That’s me looking a tad worse for wear at Manning Base Hospital back in 2002. I’d suffered a heart attack while riding my bicycle, but I had my Kodak compact with me. I asked the nurse to take a pic, and she said, “Why on earth would you want a photo of this?” I replied, “Because, darling, I don’t look like this every day. Just press the button, sweetheart, just press the button.”

Is that the bionic man???...No it’s Gary the bike man…But we can fix him, make him stronger….I hope that you are now stronger…

  • Gary Kelly replied

Thanks John… but keep in mind that it was a heart attack, not a brain attack. The latter part of my anatomy is still a bit of a worry.

  • Gary Kelly replied

As they say, never leave home without your camera hehe. Actually, can I share something rather private with you? I was wearing my undies inside out that day, and they had a hole in them.

Not sure about a smile, but I was feeling pretty chirpy after they stuck some yippy stuff in my veins hehe.
