Puddletown!!! What a great name!! lol…Gosh it must have been cold!! Are those ‘footprints’ going across it?!! *-)
It is a lovely place and yes they are footprints. I am left to assume that they were deer prints as there are plently of them in this wood. Puddletown is on the river piddle. Many of the villages along the river are know as piddle____ (piddle trent hide, piddle hinton, etc). Puddletown was originally Piddletown but as the word piddle has other connotations it was changed prior to a visit by Queen Victoria. – A little bit of history.
